Susan K. Freund
Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Freund has served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Permanent Portfolio Family of Funds and Pacific Heights Asset Management, LLC since 2010.

Prior to joining the Fund and Pacific Heights, Ms. Freund served as an independent consultant to various asset management firms from 2009 through 2010 and served as President, Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Compliance Officer of the Embarcadero Funds from 2007 through 2009. From 2001 through 2007, Ms. Freund served as Senior Counsel at Bank of the West responsible for legal and compliance matters involving that firm’s securities and investment management businesses and, prior to that, she served in various compliance capacities at Bank of America and Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisers.

Ms. Freund is a member of the State Bar of California and received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her JD degree from Creighton University School of Law. Ms. Freund is also designated as an Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP).
